The sprung lever design allows the handle to be positioned and angled for comfortable operation and is suitable for all users. The handle has been endurance tested to 200,000 cycles. This helps to ensure the quality of the finish and performance of the handle over time. The lever that is sprung can be cut to fit more locks. This is particularly useful in doors that are narrower, where the cylinder is situated further back from the door. A lever that is shorter can be used on doors with a latch which can be operated with the thumb on the inside.
Lever Pad
A Lever Pad door handle made of upvc functions differently than lever handles that are found on the majority of doors. The handle can use a single spindle (inline) or independently from each side by using two inline or offset spindles (pad). They are typically used on UPVC double-glazed doors and come in many variations & finishes.
The handles are available in various finishes, including White chrome and Gold. The finish is in line with BS EN 1670:2007 Grade 5 and is also resistant to corrosion, which gives the handle a high degree of durability and performance for the intended use.
All UPVC lever pads for handles include a spindle and screws and can be installed on the uPVC door. The 211mm backplate fixing centres allow for a wider handle, which can often be a benefit in replacing a defective or worn multi point door lock mechanism. These handle levers are also sprung, solving the problem of door handles sagging out of the horizontal position when not in use.
When choosing a replacement UPVC handle and spindle it is crucial to match the dimensions of the PZ of both the multipoint lock and the uPVC door. This measurement can also be called 'handle centres or cylinder centre'. It is important for matching the correct handles.
After you have identified the correct size of PZ it is important to make sure that the lever and push pads are shaped to match the American with Disabilities Act compliant handles you require for your door. These are usually round or square with an internal lever and an external push pad.

Euro Cylinder
Cylinder locks are typically used on uPVC doors, but they can also be used on other types of doors. They work with a key to unlock a cylinder case which is then revealed with pins that can be aligned to those in the lock body, allowing them to turn an revolving cam, opening the door. Euro cylinders can be fitted with up to six pins. External and internal doors require different levels of security.
The choice of cylinder you choose is essential. It's dependent on the type of use your doors and handles will receive. For instance, exterior doors should be fitted with a higher security cylinder, while internal doors can be secured with a standard cylinder. Some cylinders have extra features that can improve security, for instance, anti drill or anti bump properties.
To ensure that the euro cylinder is of the right size for your door, it must be measured correctly. The cylinder needs to be measured from the screw hole at the center to the ends of the cylinder. This includes the thumb turn, if there is one. If you cannot measure using the lock in its position, you can remove it. A cylinder that protrudes beyond the handle and escutcheon might be susceptible to attacks like lock snapping, so it is crucial that it's not too long.
